Afshan Ali is an artist, calligrapher and art lover. He is passionate about conducting art classes and workshops and has participated in many renowned events. His motto is ‘art is your inner self; always young, never gets old’.
Ahlam Al Jaberi is a freelance Emirati graphic designer and illustrator. She supports her community in developing creative and innovative ideas using visual solutions, and most of her works are known for their subtle simplicity. Al Jaberi is keen to keep pace with the creative development in her field and has her own design studio which specialises in logos and print and digital design services.
Aisha Al Fahim is a social research and public policy graduate from NYUAD, passionate about studying the UAE and its people. Her love for the country and for promoting its unique culture and history inspired her to create Kashta, a book that encourages exploring Abu Dhabi in a fun and spontaneous way. Al Fahim is determined to make Kashta a tool for promoting tourism in the UAE and inspiring a sense of adventure in others.
Al Yaziya Alsaadi is a skilled artist and illustrator who's been proficient since childhood, especially in character drawing. She first participated in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair in the
Alaa Barham is a graphic designer and animation artist. She took up drawing from an early age and used various materials to imitate the work of amateur and famous painters. She also won several competitions as a student. Barham chose her career out of a love for old cartoons and for combining fantasy and reality. She is passionate about all forms of drawings and art styles, especially abstract and visual arts. She is especially fond of drawing nature, where she gathers inspiration for most of her work.
Amal Elsayed is a visual artist, printmaker, certified international craftsman trainer and art therapist. She has received many educational awards and international recognition for her design and graphics work. She also participated in many international exhibitions and contributed to designing multiple high-profile logos, including the
Asmaa Al Remeithi is an Emirati visual artist with an interest in Japanese anime and manga. She began teaching arts in
Farida Mohsen is a versatile artist who has been exploring various forms of drawing since a young age. Her passion for her craft has helped her turn her talent into a successful project. Her work includes drawing landscapes, cartoon characters and imaginary characters on several mediums, including boards, clothes and bags.
Halima Alkaabi is an Emirati translator and visual artist. She has a BA in translation studies with a minor in fine arts from the United Arab Emirates University. Since childhood, she has participated in many local and international drawing and colouring competitions. She also led pencil drawing and hand-sewing workshops for youth and adults. Alkaabi participated in various exhibitions in art events around the country. Her art is influenced by magical natural elements like the sky and flowers, and she mastered painting in oil and acrylic colours using brushes and palette knives.
Hamda Alkhajeh is a cartoonist and animator. She studied fine arts with a minor in exhibition management at Zayed University. Her work is inspired by Emirati heritage and her daily surroundings. She focuses on digital art and printing products for various events and purposes. Alkhajeh is also a certified international trainer and tour guide in Abu Dhabi.
Hessa Alfalahi is a university graduate majoring in electronic security who takes up handicrafts in her spare time. She creates artistic decorations with a personal touch and distinct butterflies that set apart her work. She believes in adding touches of creativity to everything that she produces.
Houda Alhamadi is a young Emirati visual artist whose paintings are known for their creativity, beauty and intricate focus on details. Audiences take time to believe that her paintings are not photographs, given their high level of detail. Alhamadi produces her artwork using pencil work, featherwork and colours and considers pencils an essential partner in accomplishing her work.
Ibtehal Alhosani is a teacher and visual artist with a bachelor's degree in art education. She is also a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society. Alhosani is a recipient of the Hamdan Award for distinguished academic performance; the Ministry of Education's Award for comprehensive quality, care and student activities and the Sharjah Award for educational excellence. She's been certified as a trainer by several international entities.
Kais Alshaer is a Syrian visual artist born in
Kaltham Bint Mihamed is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative journey began with drawing and expanded to encompass fashion design, photography, graphic design and collage art. She combines drawing, photography, design and collage through her work and has recently designed several book covers. Bint Mihamed won multiple local awards and entered the Guinness Book of Records for her work.
Khadija Al Hosani is an Emirati visual artist, calligrapher and internationally certified trainer in lettering and professional decoupage from the SB Arts Academy and the University of Denver. She is a member of the Fujairah Arts Academy and has held several art courses in the libraries affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism. She also partook in several local art exhibitions.
Malak Al Ajou is an emerging artist that currently lives in Al Ain. Born in
Mohamad Dayoub is a designer, visual arts researcher and mixed media artist. He has
Nada Saed is a business owner and leather products maker. She established Rewind in Cairo in
Nairouz Eltanbouli is an Egyptian writer and visual artist born in Alexandria and residing in the UAE. She is the founder of Sayidat al-Hikayat for Publishing and Creative Production. She has a diploma in creative production, department of composition and creative writing. She also has a great passion for theatre and the art of making puppets. She practices folklore and seeks to deliver her message through stories and theatre.
Obaid Abdur Rahman is a college student and a Naskh script calligrapher. He won first place in the Naskh category of the third (
Sally Al Hashmi is an accomplished illustrator and graphic designer known for her expressive artwork and versatile artistic directions. She transforms her designs into posters, which have gained massive popularity among young adults.
Salma Essam is a visual artist with a disability. She has participated in exhibitions for artists with disabilities in Mexico, the Special Olympics and a visual arts exhibition with the Sidra Foundation.
Sarah Mohamed is a freelance artist based in Dubai. She started drawing at a young age and then pursued arts as a full-time job. Mohamed enjoys turning her art into products like posters and stickers, which she sells through her online shop.
Shaikha Al-Ghaithi is a
Shatha Sharar is an Emirati artist who grew up in an environment that fostered talent and creativity. She has a bachelor's degree in e-commerce from the Higher Colleges of Technology and a professional diploma in interior design from the University of Sharjah. She is passionate about art and has attended many artistic workshops through the years. Sharar is the daughter of renowned poet Rashid Sharar.
Vern Brown is a versatile artist with a gift for capturing the spirit of life on canvas in a variety of mediums, including pen and pencil, charcoal, acrylic and oil. He developed a love for painting and drawing at a very young age and pursued a graphic arts degree. Brown has been in the UAE for ten years and has won several awards in local art exhibitions. He was also selected to be a featured artist at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the US Consulate in Dubai.
Wafa Al Mutawa has been a visual artist since
Zainab Ahamed is an amateur artist. She paints on canvases and other materials and has many different works of art next to her paintings, including decoupage, recycling and thermal clay. She has participated in a number of art exhibitions.
