The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is a global platform where members of the creative and publishing industries come together to read, learn and grow. It is more than just a fair – it is a hub of opportunities where like-minded visitors can meet, establish partnerships, discover the latest trends and build up their passions.
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was first launched as the Islamic Book Fair in 1981 to fulfil the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates.
The fair’s very essence is built upon the idea that education and culture are the main pillars of a strong, developed country. Since inception, it has grown into a meeting point where publishing houses from all over can come together to share their ideas and stories.
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair attracts the region's most prolific content creators, creatives and reading fans through various traditional and digital publishing media. Its successes year after year have solidified its position as a pillar of the publishing industry on both regional and global levels.
